Place the wax on the heal of the hand you will not be working with (left for right handed, right for left handed!)  Using the spatula soften the wax by spreading it across a small area repeatedly.

Place the sausage of wax where you would like the cut to be.

Once the edges are blended use the edge of the spatula to cut through the center of the wax. Start in the middle pulling one way first returning to the middle and then pull the other way.

For the final touch apply the gel fake blood though the center of the cut, adding a few drops at either end to complete the cut.

Using the spatula scrape a small amount of wax from the pot.  Try to scrape as opposed to dig, this will give smoother wax to work with.

Once the wax is fairly soft roll into a sausage shape.

Using the spatula blend the edges by dragging them down and away from the middle of the wax sausage.

Blend the edges again with the spatula. Using the stipple sponge dipped in black and red face paint dab around the cut and over the wax.

To remove the wax use a wet flannel or a baby wipe.  You may find the skin under the wax is slightly red, this is normal and will disapear quickly.
